Under the Technology Interface Program, Shri Ram College of Engineering, a unit of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, a workshop was organized by the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering operating in the institution, in which the students were told how to use the technical aspects contained in the course in a practical way and it was also told how technology can affect various aspects of human life in different uses.
The institution has now prepared a plan to introduce students to new subjects and technology every Saturday after the lunch break so that the students of Shri Ram College of Engineering can become adept in the use of excellent practical technology along with theoretical knowledge. Students of Electronics and Communication Engineering presented a selected business idea in the idea pitching session, participated in Expressing Innovation and Junkyard Competition 'Developing Prototypes' and Model for Scrap Competition, students of Electrical Engineering gained practical knowledge on solar energy, students of Civil Engineering gained knowledge on docking technique and guest lecture and students of Mechanical Engineering gained knowledge on the use of model of motor tools and instruments in industry.
On this occasion, the Director of the Institute, Prof. SN Chauhan said that such workshops are necessary for the students to move ahead in the future and these will be organized in the Institute every Saturday. Dean Academics, Dr. Suchitra Tyagi encouraged to ensure participation of maximum number of students in such competitions in future. Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Engr. Kanupriya, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Ashish Chauhan, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dr. Ankur Kumar, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Mr. Firoz Ali, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Pawan Kumar and the lecturers wished the students a successful future.
