Today, a seminar was organized by Muzaffarnagar Police in the auditorium of Shri Ram Group of Colleges to make the citizens of the district cyber smart and aware about cyber crime as part of cyber awareness campaign. In which the college students and college staff were given detailed information about cyber crimes and made aware about their prevention. In the name of power cut due to SIM block, credit card closure or pending electricity bill, they do fraud by taking personal details from you or by sending a link to your bank account information. Sometimes they hack your phone by tricking you into downloading remote access app on your phone. With such fraud, your hard earned money is easily grabbed by cybercriminals. He told that the most effective way to prevent them is awareness and some caution about these subjects.

SP Crime Prashant Kumar appealed that do not click on unknown links or websites, nor share your wallet / account password with anyone, keep changing the password from time to time. He gave necessary suggestions for the use of social media.
