Today, the Physical Education Department of Shri Ram College organized a one day seminar on the topic “Innovation and future prospects in Physical Education – A confluence of tradition and technology”. The chief guest of the seminar was Dr. Paranveer Singh, Physical Education Department and Sports Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar and the special guests were Dr. Pravendra, Principal, Government PG College, Nanauta, Saharanpur, Dr. Rita Bora, Munnalal JNKG College, Saharanpur, Dr. Sahdev Maan, Physical Education Department, Chaudhary Chhotu Ram Degree College, Muzaffarnagar and Dr. Sonali Singh, Physical Education Department, Jain Kanya PG College, Muzaffarnagar.

The program was presided over by Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal, Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and welcoming the guests with a bouquet of flowers. First of all, while starting the program, Pramod Kumar, Head of Physical Education Department said that I heartily welcome all of you in the one-day seminar on the topic "Innovation in Physical Education and Future Prospects". He said that the present era is the era of technological revolution and physical education is also not untouched by it. On this occasion, the keynote speaker of the seminar, Dr. Paranveer Singh, Physical Education Department and Sports Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, speaking on the topic of the seminar, innovation in physical education and future prospects, said that innovation in education means much more than just new technology. It means solving the real problem in a new and simple way to promote equality and improve the learning process. Innovation in education comes in many forms. With the help of educational innovations, the learner can be made active and motivated for learning. Through this, education can be made time-relatively variable. With the help of educational innovations, the inherent potential of the students can be identified and fully developed.

On this occasion, Dr. Pravendra, Principal, Government PG College, Nanauta, Saharanpur, speaking on the modernization of Yoga, said that Yoga, which is being practiced since ancient India, has today become a modern and popular practice, which focuses on physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Various means and paths of Yoga introduce one to various ways of union of soul and God. Yoga Sadhana, apart from providing physical and mental powers to a person for his normal worldly activities, also provides him with the divine power to make special efforts to establish himself in his self-form.

On this occasion, Dr. Rita Bora, Munnalal JNKG College, Saharanpur, speaking on vocational opportunities in physical education, said that there are many vocational opportunities available in physical education, such as becoming a teacher, coach, fitness trainer, sports manager, sports journalist, or sports physiotherapist.

On this occasion, Dr. Sahdev Mann, Department of Physical Education, Chaudhary Chhotu Ram Degree College, Muzaffarnagar, speaking on the topic of modern inclusion of traditional methods of yoga in yoga education, said that yoga has developed in many ways in modern times. Yoga has been included in modern life and it is now popular all over the world. Many yoga clinics, yoga therapy and training centers have been created to include yoga in modern life.

On this occasion, Dr. Sonali Singh, Department of Physical Education, Jain Kanya PG College, Muzaffarnagar, speaking on the use of technology in physical education, said that technology can be used in physical education in many ways, such as video analysis, wearable technology, physical education apps, gaming systems, virtual classes, and using monitors and trackers to help check and improve the physical skills of students.

On this occasion, papers were presented in the seminar by Amita Singh, Amit Kumar, Jai Kumar, Rohit Pundir, Vipin Kumar, Bhupendra Kumar, Vikas Chaudhary, Palak Sharma, Vishwadeep Kaushik, Sandeep Kumar, Tarun Kumar, Amardeep, Prashant Kumar, Ayush Kumar, Ravi Prakash, Ankit Dhama, Mohd. Israr etc.

On this occasion, the chairperson of the seminar, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal, Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar said that innovation in physical education, whether it is in technique, strategy or way of playing, improves the experience for both players and spectators, making sports even more exciting and entertaining.

At the end of the seminar, Dr. Abdul Aziz Khan, Organizing Secretary expressed his gratitude to all the guests and said that we all should apply this in our life and field of work, this is our hope that we wish to meet again in more such educational and research-oriented events in the future.
