A grand seminar was organized on the occasion of National Pharmacy Education Day at Shri Ram College of Pharmacy. The main objective of this program was to promote education and research in the field of pharmacy and to make students and teachers aware of the latest information. The chief guest of this program was Dr. Shivendra Agarwal, Principal Vivekananda College of Pharmacy. The program started with lighting of lamps by the chief guest and dignitaries.
Interesting activities like poster presentation, PowerPoint presentation, and speech competition have also been included under this program.
On this occasion, the chief guest of the program, Dr. Shivendra Agarwal, while highlighting the National Pharmacy Education Day, said that National Pharmacy Education Day, to recognize the contributions of Mahadev Lal Shroff for the establishment of pharmacy education in India, his birth date, March 6, was declared as National Pharmacy Education Day by the Pharmacy Council of India. In his address, Dr. Agarwal made the students aware of the latest changes taking place in the pharmacy field. He said that at present Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the traditional systems of research. The use of AI is also increasing in the field of drug manufacturing, which is not only saving time but also increasing the quality of products manifold. He encouraged the students to adopt this confluence of pharmacy and technology and not only keep their knowledge modern but also contribute to bringing innovation in the pharmaceutical industry. He emphasized that the role of pharmacy professionals will become even more important in the times to come, especially with technological advancement and the influence of AI is constantly increasing
On this occasion, Dr. Girendra Kumar Gautam, Director, Shri Ram College of Pharmacy, while addressing all the students said that this day holds special importance for us as it underlines the importance of education and research in the pharmacy sector. Pharmacists are the backbone of the health system, who not only ensure the quality of medicines but also provide the right consultation and guidance to the patients. Today, when science and technology are progressing rapidly, the role of pharmacists has become even more important. Your contribution in discovering new medicines, ensuring their effectiveness and safety is commendable. Our students should remain dedicated towards innovation and research and make their invaluable contribution in the service of society.
Students participated enthusiastically in making this program successful. In which Hussain and Priyanshi participated in PowerPoint presentation and Adil, Priyam, Ankush, Aditya, Sayyam etc. participated in the speech competition.
