Today, speech and drama competitions were organized on the occasion of International Women's Day on 27 February 2025 at Shri Ram College and Shri Ram College of Law, Muzaffarnagar. The program was started by lighting the lamp by Principal of Shri Ram College Dr. Prerna Mittal, Director Dr. Ashok Kumar and Dr. Poonam Sharma. In the program, speech competition was organized on various topics like dowry system abolition, child marriage, appreciation and awareness of their contribution in developed India etc. First of all, program coordinators Anchal Agarwal and Ritu Pundir explained the objective of today's program and said that today women are showing their talent in every field. A speech competition was organized in which first of all student Hurain said that an empowered woman empowers the entire society. Sania said that it is necessary to give equal opportunity and equal respect to women. Shreya Rajput said that women's development participation will accelerate economic development. Shabnur and Aastha expressed their views on dowry system, Umme Raman Tyagi and Lavisha on child marriage ban, Ansh and Nishu on why old age home is needed etc.
Under the program series, dramas based on Ram Vanvas, Bharat Milap, Mahabharat etc. were staged by the students. It was effectively and emotionally staged by students like Sandhya, Nikita, Hurain, Sania, Srishti, Nishu, Neha, Krishna, Mazhar, Narayan etc. After this, student Khashi said that developed India is not possible without women empowerment.
The program was jointly organized by Dr. Pooja Tomar, Presiding Officer, Internal Complaints Committee Shri Ram College and Shri Ram College of Law.
At the end of the program, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Dr. Ashok Kumar and Dr. Poonam Sharma said that the role of women is important in Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. Awareness campaign is being run for women safety and self-defense. In today's time, women are no less than men in any field.
To make the program successful, all the lecturers of the college namely Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Meenakshi Kakaran, Nivedita Pandey, Shivani, Sonia Gaur, Rammanu Pratap Singh, Aanksha Tyagi, Dr. Heena Gupta, Ritu Dhiman, Mini Singhal, Rakhi Pramod Tupe, Ritu Garg, and Vinay Tiwari, Satyendra Sharma, Preeti Chaudhary, Trilok etc. helped.
