A Seminar On "Constitution Day"

Today, on 26 November 2024, on the occasion of 'Constitution Day', a seminar was organized in the premises of Shri Ram College of Law, Muzaffarnagar. The theme of this program was, "Uniqueness of the Indian Constitution". In this program, Mr. Ritis Sachdeva Ji, Additional District Judge, Muzaffarnagar was present as the chief guest. Mr. Aditya Singh and Mr. Bal Krishna Sharma, Senior Advocate were present as special guests in the program. The program was presided over by Dr. Shailendra Sharma, Professor of Law.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and welcoming the guests. First of all, while starting the program, the spokesperson of the college, Anchal Aggarwal said that the Constitution is the Rajdharma of India, the Constitution was made by the Constituent Assembly formed in 1946, today's date is of historical importance for us. Today we are celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, we are emerging as the world's leading economy, the credit for this goes to our Constitution. In this program, all the lecturers of the Law Department and the students of LLB, B.A.L.L.B. and B.Com. LLB participated enthusiastically. In the seminar, all the students presented their views on the Indian Constitution. Among the participating students, student Hurain Khan made the participants aware of the history of the Indian Constitution. Student Ayan Tyagi explained in detail what the Constitution is and the process of its development. Students Ariba and Aamir said that the rights and duties mentioned in the Constitution are two sides of the same coin. It is necessary to follow the duties before the rights. Student Hridya Kataria expressed her views on the rights and exploitation of women. Akshita Baranwal presented her views on the increasing dimensions of the right to privacy and Gaurav presented his views on the need of environment in the right to life.

Student Sania Samser, while expressing her views on the process of making the Indian Constitution, said that the Indian Constitution is the largest Constitution in the world. Student Megha said that for making the constitution, reference was taken from the legislations that came before independence. Apart from this, she told about the process of constitution making.

Student Shreya, while explaining in detail about the constitution making process, fundamental rights and fundamental duties, said that the laws in force in the constitution are void to the extent that they are inconsistent with Part 3 of the constitution. Student Akbar Rehman, while expressing his views, said that every Indian should respect the national flag, national anthem and national heritage. Student Aman Naeem explained about the fundamental rights, especially the right against exploitation.

Chief guest in the program Mr. Ritis Sachideva said that to make India a great country, the constitution should be followed and one should behave accordingly. Every Indian must follow the duties along with the fundamental rights.

In the program, Dr. Shailendra Sharma said that Constitution Day is being organized on the initiative of the Prime Minister. It should be celebrated as a national festival. Mr. Aditya Saini said that the constitution is such a tool which can take the nation on the path of progress. Mr. Balkrishna Sharma informed about the events related to the constitution making.

The program was conducted by the college's spokesperson Anchal Agarwal.The college's Principal Dr. Mrs. Poonam Sharma expressed her gratitude to all the guests who had come.All the spokespersons Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Mrs. Sonia Gaur, Anchal Agarwal, Rammanu Pratap Singh, Akanksha Tyagi, Dr. Heena Gupta, Amitos Kumar, Mini Singhal, Ritu Dhiman, Vinay Tiwari, Preeti and Trilokchand helped in making the program successful.
