Inter-College Wrestling (Men & Women) and Grappling (Men & Women) tournaments of colleges affiliated to Maa Shakumbhari University were organized in Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar in which players from colleges of various districts affiliated to Maa Shakumbhari Saharanpur participated. Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal and Director, Dr. Ashok Kumar were present as the chief guests in this inter-college wrestling (Men & Women) and grappling (Men & Women) competition.

On this occasion, the university was represented by Dr. Gaurav Baliyan, Government College, Deoband.

On this occasion, teams from colleges like Gochar Mahavidyalaya Rampur Maniharan, Saharanpur, MS College, Saharanpur, Diva Bharti College of Management and Education, Saharanpur Hari College, Saharanpur, Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar, SD College of Commerce, Muzaffarnagar and SD (PG) College, Muzaffarnagar etc. participated in the Wrestling (Men and Women) Category and Grappling (Men and Women) Team Competition.

The tournament of Wrestling (Men and Women) Category and Grappling (Men and Women) was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Principal Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar Dr. Prerna Mittal, Director of Shri Ram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar, and representative of Maa Shakumbhari University, Dr. Gaurav Baliyan, Head of Department of Physical Education, Government College, Deoband, Pramod Kumar, Head of Physical Education Department and Assistant Teacher of Physical Education Department.

Pramod Kumar, Head of Physical Education Department, said that the responsibility of organizing the tournament of Wrestling (Men and Women) Category and Grappling (Men and Women) Inter-College Competition was given to Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar by Maa Shakumbhari University, in which tournament matches of Wrestling (Men and Women) Category and Grappling (Men and Women) Category teams were played today for the selection of the University team. In the Wrestling (Men) Category competition, the team of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar gave its best performance and won the title of Inter-College Wrestling (Men) Category of Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur. The Wrestling (Women) Category team of Shri Ram College remained at second place.

After this, matches of Grappling (Men and Women) Category were played. In the grappling (men) category, the team of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar gave its best performance and won the title of inter-college grappling (men) category of Maa Shakumbhari Vishwavidyalaya, Saharanpur. The team of grappling (women) category of Shri Ram College stood second.

On this occasion, the Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal and the Director of Shri Ram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar, introduced themselves to the players and encouraged the players of wrestling (men and women) category and grappling (men and women) and congratulated all the selected players for leading the university team.
