The Commerce Faculty of Shri Ram College organized a one day national seminar on the topic “Empowered India: Important role of micro, small and medium enterprises in Developed India Mission 2047”.
ADM (Finance) Gajendra Kumar was the chief guest in the program and as special guests, SDM, Sadar Parmanand Jha, Chief Accountant, Dehradun Dr. Satish Pal, President IIA, Muzaffarnagar Pawan Goyal, Chairman Puri Industries, Muzaffarnagar Kushpuri, Chairman of Shriram Group of Colleges Dr. SC Kulshrestha, President of Shriram College Dr. Poonam Sharma, Director of Shriram Group of Colleges Dr. SN Chauhan, Director Research SRGC Dr. RP Singh, Principal of Shriram College Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal of Shriram College of Law Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dean Management Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Dean Academics Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, Head of Department of Commerce Dr. Ashfaq Ali, and on virtual mode, Professor Sudhanshu Joshi Doon University, Dehradun and Dr. AK Mishra, eminent educationists from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth Banaras and other universities etc. participated.
The seminar was inaugurated by the guests by lighting the lamp. The guests were welcomed by the college by presenting a bouquet of flowers.
On this occasion, SDM, Sadar Parmanand Jha said that by the year 2047, India is moving towards becoming a 30 trillion US dollar economy with all the characteristics of a developed nation. This will be a developed India for which our youth will have to play an important role.
On this occasion, Dr. SC Kulshreshtha, Chairman, Shriram Group of Colleges, while congratulating the Department of Commerce for organizing this national seminar, said that Shriram College is fully cooperating in the mission of Developed India and we are confident that we will make our mark as a developed nation before 2047.
On this occasion, Dr. Poonam Sharma, President, Shriram College and Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal, Shriram College said that the goal of Developed India 2047 is to make India a developed nation with economic development, environmental sustainability, social progress and good governance. Anyone can propose their ideas on the MYGOV portal to develop India and achieve the vision of a developed nation or developed India by 2047.
On this occasion, Dr. Ashfaq Ali, Head of the Department of Commerce said that overall, my vision for India in 2047 is on prosperity and progress, with emphasis on sustainability and social responsibility. By prioritizing education, innovation and international cooperation, India has the potential to become a symbol of hope and inspiration for the world.
Locator Isha Arora, Department of Home Science, spoke about the textile industry in micro, small and medium industries and how this industry can be more productive at a lower cost. Which can make a significant contribution in increasing the country's economy. Lecturer Madhavi Kaushik, Faculty of Commerce, told how the capital market helps in providing finance to micro, small and medium industries.
After this, the students of the college also presented their views. Student Sonali M.Com. first year presented her paper on skill development and vocational training, while student Sara Mehak, MBA first year, presented her paper on micro, small and medium industries.
At the end of the program, the guests were thanked by presenting them with mementos. The Head of the Department of Commerce Faculty thanked the guests.The program was conducted by Dr. MS Khan and Lecturer Garima Singh.
