The Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Shri Ram College Muzaffarnagar organized a four-day free workshop on the theme of Skill Students, Skilled India. In which Faisal Khan, a former student of MAJMC of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, an expert in the field of print and designing, was the main trainer. The workshop will be organized till June 15. This workshop is open to Journalism and Mass Communication students as well as 12th and graduate students. Students willing to participate can come to the college and register for free in the department. In the four-day workshop, Faisal Khan taught the students of JMC department the tricks of print media designing on the first day of the workshop and made them aware about skill development. He explained the technical points related to print media designing to the students in detail. He explained the use and importance of Corel Draw in print media designing to the students in detail and told them about its tools. In which he shared information about the use of move tool, shape tool, crop tool, text tool etc. He told that through this software, not only designing of print advertising template leaflets is done but it is also helpful in designing visiting cards, wedding cards etc. On this occasion, Ravi Gautam, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, while giving information about the workshop, told that this workshop is open for Journalism and Mass
Communication students as well as 12th and graduate students. Students willing to participate can come to the college and register for free in the department. He told that the first objective of the workshop is to develop the skills of the students of BJMC and MJMC and make them employable. He said that the second objective of this workshop was to develop the art of learning and teaching in the students and increase their confidence as well as develop leadership skills in them. He told that the third and important objective of the workshop is to make the students of Journalism and Mass Communication aware about the importance of employment oriented education and to develop mental ability in relation to developing media house and professional culture. He told that in the present era, there are immense opportunities for students in the field of media. Hence this workshop has been organized for the students. He said that this is a free workshop which is open for all. 12th and graduate students can also participate in this workshop and take advantage of it.
On this occasion, spokesperson of Journalism and Mass Communication Department Shivani Burman, Mayank Verma and Kahkasha Mirza and other teachers were present.
