A one-day national seminar on 'Data Science and its Importance' was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar. Throwing light on the topic, keynote speaker Ravi Prakash said that data science is the science of extracting information from data by analyzing it. It is a part of computer science. Data science uses principles and techniques from many fields like mathematics, statistical information, theory and information technology etc. Ravi Prakash said that several committees have been formed to outline the data science program at the national level. With this, representation is also being given to academicians and industry.
He said that data science in India is in its infancy and continuous efforts are being made to explore its future possibilities. He said that data science has as many dangers as it has benefits. He explained that misuse of data science in any situation can pose a danger to humanity. In fact, data science is a complex subject, it has both positive and negative effects. Study will have to be done and for this we all will have to be alert.

Chauhan, Director of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, presented a memento to the chief guests and while addressing the students, he said that such workshops should be organized regularly in the institute so that the students It provides guidance for a bright future and in the times to come, students will be able to achieve success in their professional life by being filled with modern and latest knowledge.
