National Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

A three-day national workshop on the topic ‘Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence-Innovate Intelligence’ was concluded by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar. Jaya Nitesh, Business Development Manager, Himesh, AI&ML expert and Manhar Hasan, IoT expert from Gurugram based software company 'Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd.' were the chief guests and speakers on the concluding day of the third day of this workshop which lasted for three days.

Welcome of the guests: Director of the Institute, Prof. (Dr.) SN Chauhan and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ashish Chauhan welcomed the chief guests by presenting them with bouquets. On this occasion, the keynote speaker Himesh threw light on the topic and told that what is Artificial Intelligence. And in the modern era, how can it solve tasks in a convenient manner in limited time. He said that Artificial Intelligence was started in the 1950s. He said that Artificial means created by humans and Intelligence means the power of thinking, that is, the power of thinking created by humans is Artificial Intelligence. He said that many committees have been formed to outline the Artificial Intelligence program at the national level, in which academicians and industry are also being represented.

On this occasion, Manhar Hasan said that a provision of 480 million dollars has been made by the government for the fifth generation technology startup. Which includes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Pvt. He informed about the 7-point strategies of the Central Government which include developing methods for human-machine interaction, ensuring the security of Artificial Intelligence systems, developing workforce with R&D, understanding ethical legal social policies and considering Artificial Intelligence as a standard and benchmark. Involves evaluating measurements through. He said that Artificial Intelligence in India is in its infancy and continuous efforts are being made to explore its future possibilities. He told that there are as many dangers as there are benefits of Artificial Intelligence machines. He explained that if in any situation, robots start considering humans as enemies, then there can be a danger to humanity. In fact, Artificial Intelligence is a complex subject, it has positives and negatives. Both effects will have to be studied and for this we all will have to be alert.

Praising the students, the trainers of Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd. said that the students of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar are rich with all kinds of talents and know how to properly utilize the knowledge imparted by their teachers. The students of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar are very talented and their future is definitely bright.

At the conclusion of this three-day workshop, Prof. (Dr.) S.N. Chauhan, Director of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, presented a memento to the chief guests and while addressing the students, said that such workshops should continue to be organized in the institute. Due to which the students are guided for a bright future and in the coming times, the students will be able to achieve success in their professional life by being filled with modern and latest knowledge.

At the end of the workshop, Ashish Chauhan, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, thanked the chief guests and said that the institute will continue to work in harmony with you in the future, so that the students will get opportunities to move ahead. Besides, the work of workshop directors Prof. Vyom Sharma and Shubhi Verma was also appreciated.

In this workshop, Director of the Institute Dr. SN Chauhan, Dean Academics Dr. Suchitra Tyagi, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Ashish Chauhan, Prof. Ruchi Rai, Atul Verma, Ankur Kaushik, Mayur Sharma, Shikha Rathi, Veni Bhardwaj and all other teachers were present.
