Leaders Connect series was organized by the Management Department of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar. The main speaker of the program was Kargil War hero and Param Vir Chakra winner, retired Honorary Captain of the Indian Army Yogendra Singh Yadav. Yogendra Singh Yadav is the youngest person to receive this highest gallantry award of India for his amazing bravery during the Kargil War. And his contribution was exemplary. The program was inaugurated by Yogendra Singh Yadav and Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman of Shri Ram Group of Colleges. After that retired captain Yogendra Singh Yadav was welcomed by presenting him a bouquet.
On this occasion, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director of Shri Ram College, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Chairperson of the Management Committee, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Suchitra Tyagi, Dean of Shri Ram Group of Colleges (Integrated Campus), Dr. Suchitra Tyagi, Principal of Shri Ram College of Pharmacy were present. Director Dr. Girendra Gautam, Dean IQAC Dr. Vineet Sharma, Dean Computer Applications Dr. Nishant Rathi, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication Dr. Ravi Gautam etc. were present.
The theme of the program was the role of youth in nation building. Throwing light on the topic, Param Veer Yogendra Singh Yadav made the students aware of various principles of self management. Yadav discussed all aspects from waking up early in the morning to setting goals in life. While narrating his life stories, when he narrated his story of Kargil war and the conflict that took place on Tiger Hill on July 4, 1999, the entire auditorium became emotional. Yadav enlisted at the age of just 16 and served the country as a part of 18 Grenadiers and during the Kargil War, he displayed indomitable courage and played an important role in hoisting the Indian tricolor on the peaks of Tololing and Tiger Hill. Yadav also threw light on the correct use of energy and consciousness by making the students conduct army drills etc. in a special technical manner.
At the end of the program, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director of Shri Ram College, while thanking the Chief Guest, while highlighting the objective of Leaders Connect Series, said that if every student follows the footsteps of Shri Yadav, even a small part of his life can be adopted in their life. If they do, no one can stop them from being successful. At the end of the program, Yogendra Singh Yadav was honored by giving memento etc. and wearing a plaque.
The program was organized under the leadership of Dr. Sandhya Tarar, Director of Integrated Campus of Shri Ram College. More than 300 boys and girls were present on this occasion. Head of the Department Dr. Lokesh Verma, Dr. Mohammad Danish, Raji Rawal, Shruti Mittal and Atul Raghuvanshi etc. from the Management Department helped in successfully organizing the program.
