Today, on the occasion of Hindi Day, a writing and speech competition was jointly organized by the Department of Business and Management and the Department of Agricultural Sciences of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar. On this occasion, Director of Shriram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar and Principal of Shriram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal were the chief guests and as special guests, Dean of Management Department, Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Secretary, Chairman Shriram Group of Colleges Praveen Kumar, Pankaj Kumar from Human Resources, Ravi Gautam was the head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and Dr. Ashfaq was the head of the Department of Commerce.

The program started by jointly lighting the lamp by the chief guest and teachers. During the elocution competition, students highlighted the characteristics and simplicity of Hindi and were told how Hindi was accepted as the state language on 14 September 1949. In 1953, India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated Hindi Day and recognizing the importance of Hindi as a unifying force in a linguistically diverse nation, Nehru's decision marked the official observance of Hindi Day and said That the official language of the Union should be Hindi and the script should be Devanagari. Since then, 14th September is celebrated as Hindi Day. On this occasion, Shagun Baliyan got first place, Devansh Verma second and Jyoti got third place in the speech competition.

Speaking on this occasion, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal said that accepting the importance of Hindi in today's time, we should use Hindi language in our behavior. Hindi should be transferred as a heritage to the next generation. On this occasion, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director of Shri Ram College, while giving good wishes on Hindi Day, highlighted the importance of Hindi in life. On this occasion, Dr. Saurabh, Dean of Management Section, Mittal appreciated the enthusiasm shown among the students for Hindi and wished for their bright future. On this occasion, Head of the Department of Business and Management, Vivek Kumar Tyagi, encouraged the students for Hindi and encouraged the students to participate in the promotion and dissemination of Hindi.
