Blood donation camp

A blood donation camp was organized in the auditorium of Shri Ram College on the occasion of World Blood Donation with the joint efforts of Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur and Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar. In which around 150 people donated blood. The chief guest of the program was Union Minister, Government of India, Dr. Sanjeev Balyan. In the same special guests, Minister of State (Independent Charge) UP Government, Kapil Dev Agarwal, Panchayat President Virpal Singh Nirwal, District Magistrate, Muzaffarnagar Arvind Malappa Bangari, National Service Scheme Coordinator of Mother Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur Dr. Bhupendra Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Administrative) Narendra Bahadur Singh, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mahavir Singh Faujdar, remained.

About 150 people donated blood in the blood donation camp. Teachers, non-teaching staff as well as students also donated blood in the camp. On this occasion, the chief guest of the program, Union Minister, Government of India, Dr. Sanjeev Balyan told that blood donation is a great donation. This not only gives the pleasure of donating, but by donating blood, another person's life can also be saved.

On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mahavir Singh Faujdar, while dispelling the misconceptions about blood donation, explained the benefits of donating blood and said that the blood pressure of people with high blood pressure tends to remain normal. He further said that by donating blood, the risk of deadly diseases like cancer also reduces. Certificates and symbols were also given to the blood donors who participated in the camp.

On this occasion, Principal of Shriram College Dr. Prerna Mittal, Director of Shriram College Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dean Academics of Shriram College Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, Director of Shriram College of Pharmacy Dr. Girendra Gautam, Dean Shriram College of Engineering participated in making the blood donation camp a success. Dr. Suchitra Tyagi, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Ravi Gautam, National Service Scheme, Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar, Ankit Kumar, and all the Deans and Heads of the College, teachers had important contribution.
