A highly useful and informative workshop on "Stress Reduction and Wellness Through Yoga and Ayurveda" was organized at Shri Ram College (Autonomous), Muzaffarnagar, in which all the faculty members of the college participated enthusiastically. The objective of this workshop was to familiarize teachers with alternative and authentic methods of stress management, physical and mental balance, and overall health.
The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, which conveyed the message of positive energy, knowledge, health, and purity. The lamp was lit by the chief guest, Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj, Director of Arogyadham Retreat and Wellness, along with the Principal of Shri Ram College, Prof. Prerna Mittal, Vice-Principal Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Dean IQAC Vineet Sharma, Dean Computer Applications Dr. Nishant Rathi, and Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Dr. Manoj Dhiman. Through the lighting of the lamp, all the guests conveyed the message that the light of knowledge, health, and mental peace provides a new direction to society and the institution.On this occasion, the chief guest of the workshop, Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj, Director of Arogyadham Retreat and Wellness, was warmly welcomed with a bouquet of flowers upon his arrival.He then elaborated on yoga, pranayama, meditation, Ayurvedic diet, and natural methods of stress reduction. He conducted simple, practical, and effective yoga exercises for the teachers, which the participating teachers found extremely beneficial.Dr. Amrit Raj explained that stress can be controlled and the quality of life can be improved by adopting regular yoga, positive thinking, and an Ayurvedic routine.On this occasion, the Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal, said: In today's busy and stressful times, taking care of the mental and physical health of teachers is extremely important. Yoga and Ayurveda balance both the mind and body. Shri Ram College will continue to organize such programs for the overall development of its faculty. The program was successfully conducted by Dr. Reetu Pundir and Ayushi Garg, Lecturers in Basic Science. At the conclusion of the workshop, the college administration expressed its gratitude to Yogi Dr. Amrit Raj by presenting him with a plaque and a memento, stating that the session had been extremely inspiring and useful for the teachers. They also announced plans to organize more such workshops related to health, well-being, and self-development in the future.
