Shri Ram College of Pharmacy hosted a grand, informative, and forward-looking conference on "Pharmaceutical Artificial Intelligence." The event began with Saraswati Vandana and the lighting of lamps. Guests then presented their views on emerging scientific aspects related to the pharmaceutical sector and the various facets of artificial intelligence. This prestigious event was attended by students and faculty from various colleges across the state, and over 1,000 students actively participated, a testament to the program's popularity and importance.
The chief guest was Anil Kumar, Cabinet Minister for Science and Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Special guests included Dr. Sankalp Kulshrestha, Founder Secretary, Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Dr. Purushottam, Regional Minister, BJP, Dr. K. Satish Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Surajmal University, Dr. Manoj Mishra, Director, Amity University, Gwalior, and Dr. Girendra Kumar Gautam, Director, Shri Ram College of Pharmacy, among other eminent personalities.Addressing the students, Dr. Satish Sharma explained that artificial intelligence is emerging as a revolutionary technology in research, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and industrial processes. He added that artificial intelligence has taken efficiency, speed, and quality to new levels in the pharmaceutical sector.
Following this, Chief Guest Anil Kumar Ji stated that such conferences are extremely useful platforms for exchanging ideas and expanding knowledge of new technologies. He stated that the pharmaceutical industry is the backbone of India's economy and healthcare system, and the role of artificial intelligence in this field will grow rapidly in the coming years. Technology-based solutions are providing new opportunities for youth and creating limitless possibilities for them.On this occasion, Dr. Sankalp Kulshrestha, Founder Secretary, SRGC, stated in his address that the primary objective of this conference is to connect students with modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence, and to familiarize them with the changing needs of research, innovation, and industry. He explained that such educational events not only expand knowledge but also prepare students for global competition.
The second phase of the program, a symposium on artificial intelligence (AI), was held in which several experts, including Pradeep Kumar Vishwakarma, Associate Director, Cipla Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Amrita Mishra, Delhi University, and Dr. Arun Kumar Mishra, Director, IIT Delhi College of Pharmacy, Amrita, shared their research experiences. Over 200 published and presented research papers were presented during the session, and students presented their research work through PowerPoint presentations. Experts discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the pharmaceutical sector, data-driven decision-making, drug discovery, formulation design, and the utility of smart technologies.
A poster presentation session was held, in which over 200 students enthusiastically participated. Students presented scientific concepts, research findings, and data analysis in their respective disciplines in an engaging manner. Interactions with experts, faculty members, and researchers provided students with an opportunity to understand scientific methodology, reasoning, presentation skills, and research approaches.
Addressing the students, Dr. Girendra Kumar Gautam, Director of Shri Ram College of Pharmacy, said that while cultural events foster creativity and self-confidence, such scientific and technical events connect them with future advanced technologies and research-based knowledge. He encouraged participants to continuously learn, embrace innovation, and develop a scientific outlook.
On this occasion, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal, Shri Ram College, said that such innovative and scientific programs not only foster students' enthusiasm for research but also provide them with an opportunity to understand the real needs of the industry and global standards. She added that the college continuously strives to connect students with future technologies and opportunities through such educational events.
