Shri Ram College of Engineering, Department of Management and Fine Arts, a unit of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, organised 'Diwali Delight Event-2025' to mark the festival of Diwali. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp jointly by the Chief Guest Shri Chandan Chauhan, Member of Parliament (Bijnor Lok Sabha), National General Secretary, RLD, Dr. Veerpal Nirwal, President-District Panchayat-Mu.Nagar, Maitri E, Minority Officer, Founder of Shri Ram Group of Colleges Muzaffarnagar Dr. S.C. Kulshrestha, Secretary Shri Ram Group of Colleges Eng. Sankalp Kulshrestha, President of Management Committee Dr. Poonam Sharma, Joint Secretary SRC Management Committee Maulana Arif, Director of Shri Ram College of Engineering Dr. S.N. Chauhan, Principal of Shri Ram College Dr. Prerna Mittal, Director of Shri Ram College Dr. Ashok Kumar, Vice Principal Shri Ram College Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Director Shri Ram College of Pharmacy Dr. Girendra Gautam, Director Fine Arts Dr. Manoj Dhiman, Dean Academics Shri Ram College Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma and Dean Engineering Dr. Suchitra Tyagi etc.
At the event, Dr. S.N. Chauhan, Director of Shri Ram College of Engineering, honored the chief guest, Mr. Chandan Chauhan, Member of Parliament (Bijnor Lok Sabha), and National General Secretary of the RLD, with a bouquet. The program was divided into sixteen sections: decorative items, street plays, handicrafts, food stalls, boutiques, readymade garments, mehndi studios, makeover studios, live sketching, Indian traditional art, sales and marketing, games, tattoo studios, accessories, mythological costumes (Kanha Ji's costumes and accessories), fragrance studios, soft toys studios, and natural plants.
Students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, B.Tech., Management Studies, Fine Arts, Polytechnic, Agriculture, Administration, Pharma, Computer Applications, and Home Science showcased their skills at the Shri Ram College Sports Complex. Students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication presented an awareness-based street play. The play's purpose was to convey the message of celebrating a pollution-free, safe, and harmonious Diwali. Through their emotional performances, the students depicted the widespread use of firecrackers, environmental pollution, and their negative impact on animals and birds. Their presentation was well-received by the audience, who praised their efforts to raise public awareness. The stalls set up by the students were also highly appreciated by the guests. The fair showcased the Indian art culture and culture through their products. The exotic cuisine, including various types of tea, Indo-Chinese dishes, boondi chaat, and kulhad Maggi, was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The festival also featured a variety of games, encouraged by various departments. The various decorative items created by the students attracted everyone's attention, and visitors were eager to purchase them. Chief Guest Mr. Chandan Chauhan inspected all the stalls and enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes. Founder Dr. S.C. Kulshrestha stated that the event aims to foster innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students. This is an inspiring step towards realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of "Vocal for Local" and "Self-Reliant India."
The program was successfully conducted by Director Engineer Ruchi Rai and Mrs. Nivedita Pandey, along with Meenakshi Kakran, Pramod Kumar, and Media Officer Kahkashan Mirza.
In addition, Dr. Akanksha Chauhan, Dr. Anju Tyagi, Mr. Akash Kumar, Shikha Rathi, Vikul Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Mayank Saini, Ajit Kumar Manna, Reena Tyagi, and other faculty members made significant contributions to the event. Furthermore, the presence of all the faculty members from Shri Ram College of Engineering, Management Studies, and Fine Arts and the Shri Ram Group graced the event.
