The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Ram College of Engineering, a unit of the Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, organized an internal hackathon, "Smart India Hackathon-2025." Each year, AICTE organizes programs on various themes. Similarly, this year, the program was organized on the theme of "Innovation and Development" under the "SIH-2025" initiative. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the chief guest, Dr. S.C. Kulshrestha, the founding president of the organization. The program features an exhibition of working prototypes created within the SIH group.
This year, the Education Museum provided various problem statements, drawn from various fields, primarily edtech, healthcare, agriculture, robotics, and more. Students from the departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering at the Shri Ram Group of Colleges demonstrated solutions to these various problems through hardware and software simulations.

During the presentation, Siddhi Jain, Gurpreet, and Priyank, students of Computer Science and Engineering at the Shri Ram Group of Colleges, showcased the website they had created. The website provides live and accurate information about potholes and construction sites on various routes and roads.
Dhananjay, Pranav, Tanya, and Naman, also from the Computer Science and Engineering department at the Shri Ram Group of Colleges, created a prototype for attendance management, through which people in rural areas can easily access the attendance and other information of their children present in schools.
Arihant Jain, Kanishk Jain, and Mehak Bansal of Shri Ram Group of Colleges developed a retrofit smart switchboard that allows remote operation using IoT, a revolutionary initiative in energy conservation. The project was evaluated by judges including Dr. S.N. Chauhan, Director of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Engineer Firoz Ali, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and Engineer Kanupriya, Head of the Innovation Cell and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Shri Ram Group of Colleges. The top 20 teams were selected and honored.
Over 70 teams from across the institution participated in the program, of which 20 were selected and given the opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level. Students selected in the Internal SIH will later compete at the national level against top-ranked institutions in India.
On this occasion, Dr. Ashish Chauhan, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, stated that the students of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Ram Group of Colleges are undoubtedly talented and will bring glory to the department and the institute in the future.
At the conclusion of the program, Engineer Apeksha Nayak, SPOC of SIH-Shri Ram Group of Colleges, expressed her gratitude to all participants and guests. The program was efficiently conducted by Engineer Shivi Chaudhary, under the direction of the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Heads of various departments were present on this occasion. Faculty members such as Engineer Nitisha Tyagi, Engineer Ruchi Rai, Engineer Vineet Tyagi, Engineer Kunal Thakur, and Engineer Shikha Rathi played a significant role in making the program a success.
