A two-day inter-college Kabaddi (Men's and Women's) competition was held at Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar, for colleges affiliated with Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur. Players from various districts affiliated with Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur, participated in this Kabaddi (Men's and Women's) tournament. Chief guests at the tournament included Chandan Chauhan, Rashtriya Lok Dal MP, Bijnor; Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman, Shri Ram Group of Colleges; and special guests included Nikita Sharma, Pramod Kumar Sirohi, Deputy Director, Agriculture Department, Muzaffarnagar; Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal, Shri Ram College; and Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director, Shri Ram College.
Representing Maa Shakumbhari University on this occasion was Dr. Gaurav Baliyan, Government College, Deoband, Saharanpur.On this occasion, Kabaddi (Men and Women) teams from Gochar College, Rampur Maniharan, Saharanpur, IIM-T, Saharanpur, MS College Saharanpur, Hari College, Saharanpur, Dev Bhoomi Saharanpur, Disha Bharti Saharanpur, IPS College Saharanpur, RK PG College, Shamli, Government Women College, Kandhla, OPGS Bhajju, SD (PG) College, Muzaffarnagar and Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar participated in the competition. The Kabaddi (Men's and Women's) tournament was formally inaugurated by Dr. Gaurav Baliyan, representative of Maa Shakumbhari University, Government College, Deoband, Saharanpur; Chief Guest Chandan Chauhan, Rashtriya Lok Dal MP, Bijnor; Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman, Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar; Special Guests Nikita Sharma; Pramod Kumar Sirohi, Deputy Director, Agriculture Department, Muzaffarnagar; Pramod Kumar, Head of the Department of Physical Education, and Assistant Professors.On this occasion, Pramod Kumar, Head of the Department of Physical Education, informed that the responsibility of organizing the Kabaddi (Men's and Women's) inter-college tournament was entrusted to Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar by Maa Shakumbhari University. The women's category knockout and league matches were played first. Following the knockout matches, the women's league matches were played. In the Kabaddi (women's category) match, Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar got the first position, Gochar Mahavidyalaya, Rampur Maniharan, Saharanpur got the second position and Government Women's College, Kandhla got the third position. Till the time of writing the news, the league matches of Kabaddi (men's category) were going on.
On this occasion, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal and Director of Shri Ram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar got introduced to the players.
