A guest lecture was organized by the Physical Education Department at Shri Ram College Muzaffarnagar on the topic “Integration of Yoga in Physical Education Curriculum”. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp in front of Maa Saraswati by the chief speaker Dr. Pravendra Kumar, Government Degree College, Nanauta, Saharanpur and special guests Balendra Singh, Gochar Mahavidyalaya Rampur Maniharan, Saharanpur, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal Shri Ram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director Shri Ram College, Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, Dean Academic Shri Ram College.
On this occasion, the chief speaker of the program, Dr. Pravendra Kumar, Government Degree College, Nanauta, Saharanpur, while speaking on the topic, said that integrating yoga in the physical education curriculum is a good idea as it has a positive impact on the physical and mental health of the students. By incorporating yoga into the physical education curriculum, students improve flexibility, strength, balance, posture, and cardiovascular health, as well as reduce the risk of injury. In addition, yoga helps reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, which promotes the mental health of students.
