Students of Commerce Department of Shriram College were taken on an industrial visit, which brought a lot of joy and enthusiasm among the students. During the visit to Indian Potash Limited, Titavi, the students learnt how the sugarcane grown by farmers is converted into various forms. First of all, the General Manager of Titavi Sugar Mill was thanked for this industrial visit by the Vibha Chairman and fellow teachers by presenting books and mementoes. After this, HR Shashank Srivastava was presented with a bouquet and thanked for his efforts in making this industrial visit a success.
On this occasion, the students were given detailed information about the origin of Indian Potash Limited by Shashank Srivastava through PPT and theoretical information was given about how sugarcane is converted into sugar and other products step by step. After the PPT presentation, a process-wise tour of the entire industrial unit of the sugar mill was taken. Wearing helmets for their safety, all the students understood each process carefully by Shashank Srivastava. All the students understood the journey of the entire industrial unit from sugar crusher to collection in very simple language. They also visited Eco Green Park, dispensary, hospital, gym etc. built by the sugar mill under the collective responsibility of the employees.
At the end of this industrial visit, the Head of the Department, Dr. Ashfaq Ali, while addressing all the students, said that the purpose of such a visit is to provide theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge to the students and asked the students to prepare a report on this industrial visit and submit it to the department and assured to keep organizing such events in future.
Convenor Dr. MS Khan, Coordinator Abhishek Kumar, along with all the teachers of the Commerce Department, Mukesh Kumar, Anika, Madhavi, Kaushik, Anuj Kumar, Ritu, Dr. Anirudh Kumar and Miss Akanksha played an important role in making this industrial visit a success.
