Today, International Women's Day was celebrated with great pomp in all the institutions of Shri Ram Group of Colleges. On this occasion, a seminar was jointly organized by the Internal Problem Committee of Shri Ram College, Teacher Education Department and Basic Science Department on the topic 'Participation of Women in Various Fields and Their Rights'.
The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sadhna, Sub Inspector, Women Police Station Muzaffarnagar; Preeti Bhardwaj, ADO, Cooperative Bank, Charthaval; Dr. Kumi Grewal, Radiologist, District Hospital, Muzaffarnagar and Gyanendra Singh, Sub Inspector Women Police Station Muzaffarnagar, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal Shri Ram College and Dr. Pooja Tomar, Dean Basic Science Department by jointly lighting the lamp.
The same BBA Department of Shri Ram College organized a speech competition on the occasion of International Women's Day, which was inaugurated by lighting a lamp in front of Maa Saraswati. Thereafter, Dr Vivek Kumar Tyagi, Head of the BBA Department, wished all the women present in the program a Happy International Women's Day and inaugurated the program.
In this speech competition, Aryan, Shalu Rana, Suman Chaudhary, M. Hasnain, Satyanand Rai, Jiya Chaudhary, Palak Mittal from BBA 1st year and Manya Garg, Prachi Chaudhary, Anshika, Priyanshi from BBA 2nd year and Khushi from BBA 3rd year participated. In which Palak Mittal, a student of BBA 1st year, got the first position, Aarti Kumari, a student of BBA 2nd year, got the second position and Shalu Rana, a student of BBA 1st year, got the third position.
At the same time, the IIC (Institution Innovation Council) of Shri Ram College of Engineering, a unit of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm. This day is a day to salute the achievements of women. This day is celebrated as a celebration of the economic, cultural, political and social achievements of women. The program was inaugurated by inviting the chief guest and director of the institute Dr. S.N. Chauhan and Dean Dr. Suchitra Tyagi. After welcoming the guests, the students expressed their views on the theme of International Women's Day 2025 "Accelerate Action" through speech. This day recognizes progress so that it emphasizes the need for continuous efforts to create an inclusive, fair and empowered society for women.
In the seminar held at Shri Ram College, the chief guests of the program presented their views on the above subject.
On this occasion, Dr. Kumi Grewal made the students present aware of various health related problems and highlighted many topics for the solution of those problems. He said that it is very important to include nutrients in your food.
After this, Preeti Bhardwaj told how students can keep their money safe for the future in the field of banking. Mrs. Sadhana told the students about the importance of helpline measures for cyber crimes and incidents or problems happening with them.
On this occasion, Gyanendra Sub Inspector Mahila Thana Muzaffarnagar also shared his views on this subject and told what help can be given to the girl students by the government in the atrocities happening with them.
On this occasion, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal said that the main objective of celebrating International Women's Day is to empower women in the world and establish their dignity by making them aware of their rights. On the occasion of the program, she said that the personality of women is so great that the poet has very beautifully shaped it from time to time with his creations.
At the end of the program, Dr. Pooja Tomar thanked the chief guests, Principal of the college, teachers and students present in the auditorium for attending the program and benefiting the students with their thoughts.
In the same program held at Shri Ram College of Engineering, teachers like Engr. Kanupriya and Engr. Ruchi Rai discussed the real thinking of our society and the struggle of women. They said that only educated women can make the society organized and strong. If women have to take their position to equal rights in the society, then they will have to make their education their shield. Even today, about 60 percent of the society is such where women are untouched by education. There, neither they themselves are aware of their development nor their rights, nor the other section of the society wants to do anything for their development. Equality is a far cry, women have to fight for participation. They told that until we are not aware of words like "Women's Development, Women's Environment, Women's Education, Women's Entrepreneurship" and Women's Rights, we cannot even present our side in the society. Therefore, to stop and improve the discrimination against women, it is very important for us to educate ourselves and the coming generation. On this occasion, the guest of honour presented his views and highlighted the important contribution of women in the society and called women the foundation of the society.
On this occasion, the Director and Dean of the college felicitated the chief guest and other guests by presenting them mementos and shawls. Dr. S.N. Chauhan, Director of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, appreciated the words of the chief guest and wished them success in future.
