Athletics competitions started in Annual Sports-2025

Athletics competitions were organized today under the ongoing 'Annual Sports-2025' in the sports ground of Shriram College. The chief guest of today's program was Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman of Shriram Group of Colleges.

In the Athletics Meet-2025, which started today, competitions were played in men and women categories in 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1500 m, 3000 m, along with shotput and discus, long jump and relay race etc. Today, the title of 800 m women's race was won by Kajal of Physical Education Department and the title of 800 m men's race was won by Mou. Ahrar of Computer Application. While in the 100 m men's race, Rakib of Physical Education Department defeated everyone and got the first place in the 100 m women's race, Aditi Dhiman of Physical Education Department got the first place. In the 3000 m women's race, Manu of Physical Education Department came out first. In the 3000 m men's race, Ankush of Physical Education Department got the first place. In the shot put (shot put) men's category competition, Amjad of Law Department got the first place and in the women's category, Princy Rani of Education Department got the first place.

First of all, the students of every department of Shriram Group of Colleges marched past representing their respective departments. After this, colorful cultural programs were organized. In which the students, on one hand, depicted different cultures through their dance.

In athletics competitions, in 800 m women's race, Kajal of BPES secured first position, Manu of BPES secured second position and Swati of Basic Science secured third position. In 800 m men's race, BCA student Mohd. Ahrar secured first position and Ankush and Anant of Physical Education department secured second and third positions respectively. In 3000 m men's race, Ankush of Physical Education department secured first position and won the title. Paramjeet of BPES secured second position and Sunny Kumar of Commerce department secured third position. In 3000 m women's race, Manu of BPES secured first position, Deepanshi and Swati of Basic Science department secured second and third positions respectively. In 100 m men's race, Raqib and Bilal of BPES secured first and second positions and Harsh Tyagi of Commerce department secured third position. In the 100 m women's category, Aditi, a student of Physical Education Department, got the first position and Hina and Shalu of Commerce Department got the second and third positions respectively. In the 200 m men's category, Raqib, a student of Physical Education Department, got the first position, Ahrar, a student of Computer Application Department, got the second position and Bilal of Physical Education Department got the third position. In the 200 m women's category, Aditi of Physical Education Department got the first position, Hina of Commerce Department got the second position and Tanu Dhiman of Home Science Department got the third position. In the 400 m men's category race, Raqib, Bilal of Physical Education Department got the first and second position and Akshit of Law got the third position. In the 400 m women's category, Kajal of Physical Education Department got the first position and Anubha and Anjali Dagar of Basic Science got the second and third positions respectively. In the 1500 m men's category race, Ankush of Physical Education Department got the first position, Akshit of Pharmacy got the second position and Saurabh Kumar of Physical Education Department got the third position. In the 1500 m women's category, Saloni of Physical Education Department secured first position, Anubha and Manika Sharma of Basic Science secured second and third positions respectively.

In the Shotput (shot put) men's category competition, Amjad of Law Department secured first position by throwing the shot put at the maximum distance of 8.09 m, while Vishvendra of Agricultural Science secured second position by throwing the shot put at a distance of 7.90 m, while Ajay of Physical Education Department secured third position by throwing the shot put at a distance of 7.49 m. After this, in the women's category, Princy of Education Department secured first position by throwing the shot put at a distance of 5.95 m, Tanu Rani of Physical Education Department secured second position by throwing the shot put at a distance of 5.60 m, and Aliza of Basic Science secured third position by throwing the shot put at a distance of 5.50 m. In Discus Throw, Amjad of Law Department got the first position in men's category by throwing the discus at a distance of 17.67 m, Rahul Adhikari of Physical Education Department got the second position by throwing the discus at a distance of 17.30 m, and Shashwat Negi of Basic Science Department got the third position by throwing the discus at a distance of 15.15 m. In women's category, Tanu Rani of Physical Education Department got the first position with a throw of 15.30 m, Mithlesh Pal of Law Department got the second position.13.20 m and Princy of Education Department secured third position by throwing discus 12.65 m.

In long jump men's category, Md. Asim of Physical Education Department secured first position by jumping 4.85 m, Vishvendra Singh of Agricultural Science Department secured second position by jumping 4.76 m and Md. Bilal of Physical Education Department secured third position by jumping 4.70 m. In women's category, Aditi Dhiman (4.25 m) of Physical Education Department secured first position, Anu (3.27 m) of B.Sc. (Microbiology) secured second position and Saloni (3.15 m) of Physical Education Department secured third position.

Event Relay Race Physical Education Department secured first position, Commerce secured second position and Bioscience Department secured third position. On this occasion, the chief guest, Dr. SC Kulshreshtha, Chairman of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, said that sports develop discipline, punctuality, positivity, leadership skills, etc. in individuals. Parents should encourage their children to play sports along with studies. The possibilities of making a future in sports have also increased. Encouraging the students, he said that all the players should participate in the competition with sportsmanship and should display their best game.
