The "Annual Sports Competition-2025" was inaugurated in the sports ground of Shriram College. On the first day of the Annual Sports Competition-2025, which started today, competitions of cricket, chess and carrom were organized. The title of the men's category of Chess 2025 went to Aryan, a B.Com second year student, and the title of the women's category went to Srishti Chauhan, a B.Ed second year student. In the same carrom, BAJMC first year student Vineet won the men's category matches and Sneha Bhalla of BAJMC won the women's category.

Like every year, this year also the week-long sports programs at the sports ground of Shriram College started today with a cricket competition. In the league matches, today's first match was played between the teams of Basic Science and BBA. In which the BBA team won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, the Basic Science team set a target of 61 runs at the loss of 10 wickets in the stipulated 10 overs. In response, the BBA team chasing the target achieved the target by losing 5 wickets and won. The next match was played between the teams of B.Com and Pharmacy. In which the B.Com team batting first scored 85 runs at the loss of 7 wickets and set a target of 86 runs in front of the opposing team. In response, the Pharmacy team collapsed at 78 runs after losing 8 wickets. In this way, the B.Com team won by 7 runs.

The third match of the competition was played between the teams of B.A.L.L.B and B.Sc. (Agricultural Science). In which the B.Sc. (Agricultural Science) team won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first, the B.A.L.L.B. team scored 66 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 08 overs. In reply, the BSc (Agricultural Science) team came to chase the runs and won the match by scoring 67 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in a very exciting match.

In the men's category carrom competition, Vineet, a first year student of BAJMC, secured the first position, Akshay, a student of Basic Science, secured the second position and Ashish, a first year student of MSc (Chemistry Science), secured the third position. In the women's category carrom competition, Sneha Bhalla, a third year student of BAJMC, secured the first position, Anushka, a student of Basic Science, secured the second position and Sakshi, a first year student of BAJMC, secured the third position.

In the men's chess competition, Aryan, a second year student of B.Com, secured the first position, Mohd. Daksh, a second year student of B.Sc. Bioscience, secured the second position and Mrityunjay, a student of B.Sc. (Agricultural Science), secured the third position. In the women's category, Srishti Chauhan secured the first position, Nishika Kashyap secured the second position and Nikita Kashyap secured the third position.

On this occasion, Shri Ram Group of Colleges Sports Officer Prof Pramod Kumar informed that in these week-long sports programs, along with cricket competitions, chess, carrom, table tennis, badminton, kho-kho, volleyball and athletics competitions of 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 meters along with shot put, discus throw, long jump, high jump etc. will be organized in women and men's category. He informed that on the last day of sports week, players who perform brilliantly will be awarded.

On this occasion, Shri Ram College Principal Dr Prerna Mittal said that sports have an important contribution in the development of the youth of the country. While sports develop leadership skills in students, organizing such sports programs at the college level also provides a platform to players at the national and international level. Due to which sports talents get an opportunity to flourish.

Chauhan, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Director of Shri Ram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dean Academics, Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, Shri Ram College of Engineering Dean, Dr. Suchitra Tyagi, Head of Physical Education Department, Pramod Kumar and spokesperson Amardeep, Dr. Abdul Aziz Khan, Bhupendra, Sandeep Kumar, Tarun and Vishvdeep Kaushik etc. were present.
