A workshop on the topic of "Financial Education for Young Citizens" was organized in the Business Administration Department of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar. This workshop was organized by the courtesy of National Institute of Security Markets. The keynote speakers in the workshop were Rajiv Jain and Jalaj Jain. The workshop was inaugurated by lighting a lamp in front of Maa Saraswati.
There were a total of eight sessions in this workshop. The first session was started by the keynote speaker Rajiv Jain. He told that NISM National Institute of Securities Markets is an Indian public trust which is the national apex body for the exchange and licensing of professions dealing with the financial market in India and it is also the Central Civil Services Staff Training Institute of SEBI which works under the ownership of Securities and Exchange Board of India, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.On this occasion, Rajiv Jain told the students during the first session of the workshop that how the youth should start saving and making small investments from now on so that they do not have to face financial challenges in the future and can build their career in a better way and can also avail financial benefits. In the second session of the workshop, he explained where investments should be made so that maximum profit can be made with less risk. In the third session of the workshop, he made the students aware of the process of investing in the stock market and investment mediums in an experimental manner and in the fourth session, he exchanged informative information with the students through a quiz. In the next session of the workshop, speaker Jalaj Jain told the students about stock market, stock exchange, SIP mutual funds and 72 returns formula. He also told how investment is possible even with a minimum amount of money. Thereafter, he got the students to complete the examination program authorized by NISM through online medium, on the basis of which the students will be given certificates authorized by NISM. On this occasion, Dr. SC Kulshreshtha, Chairman of Shri Ram Group of Colleges said that the aim of our institute is to develop students in all aspects through such workshops and he congratulated all the members of the Department of Business and Management and expected to organize such programs in future as well.The Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal, while concluding the program, addressed the students and said that they should learn from this workshop how they can save and invest even while being students and can take more advantage of financial education.On this occasion, Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Dean of Management Block, said that the aim of this workshop is to prevent unnecessary expenditure among the youth and encourage savings so that the feeling of investing can be awakened in them in their youth itself.After this, Vivek Kumar Tyagi, Head of the Department of Business Administration, while expressing gratitude to the special guests, encouraged the students to learn the tricks of financial education and investment.The program was conducted by Assistant Professor of Business and Management Department, Dr. Atul Verma.Himanshu Verma, Shivani Sharma, Sagar Shukla, Jatin Singhal, Poonam Sharma, Kapil Deshwal, Mamta Mittal, Zeba Tahir, Ankush Rawal, Monika, Tanu Tyagi, Swati Tayal, Nishi Thakur, Nishu Verma helped in making the program successful.
