A one-day national seminar

A one-day national seminar on the topic "Recent Trends and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering" was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shri Ram College of Engineering, a unit of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, in which important changes and innovations taking place in the field of mechanical engineering were discussed. The inaugural session of this seminar was presided over by Dr. S.C. Kulshreshtha, Chairman, Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar. While Prof. R.S. Mishra, DTU Delhi was present as the chief guest. In the seminar, Professor J.P. Kesari, former Professor of DTU, Delhi, presented his views on the innovation of solar energy as the keynote speaker.

The main objective of the seminar was to share the latest trends, emerging technologies and research work going on in the field of mechanical engineering. Prof. Ashish Shah, who is the head of TFAC Core, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, was the keynote speaker of the first session of the national seminar. He discussed India's growing steps in the field of drone technology and the policies of the Government of India and shared his views on Industry 5.0. Prof. Dr. SK Sharma, former Professor IIT BHU, Varanasi presented a research paper on Advances in Mechanical Engineering. Prof. JP Kesari, former Professor DTU, Delhi expressed his views on Design of Solar Process Heating System for Indian Automobile Industry. Prof. PS Kaushik, Head of Department HRIT, Ghaziabad discussed Advances in Radiography Non Destructive Testing. Prof. Vikas Kumar, Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar presented his research paper on Building Tomorrow: The Art and Science of Editing Manufacturing.

In the second session, Dr. PK Chaudhary, Director JB Institute of Technology, Dehradun presented a research paper on Simulation - A Powerful Tool for Validation of Research. Dr. Kirat Singh, Founder Next Up Robotics, Ghaziabad shared his views on Robotics and Automation. Dr. Karmveer, Government Polytechnic, Arnia, Bulandshahr spoke on Utilization of Solar Thermal Energy for Heating and Application. Prof. Dr. Rajesh Singh, ITM, Gorakhpur read his paper on 3D Printing. Mr. Akash Kakaran, Prof. Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar presented his views on Current Scenario and Future Aspects of Renewable Sources of Energy.

Dr. S.C. Kulshreshtha, Chairman Shri Ram Group of Colleges, in his presidential address said that only through continuous innovation and research in the field of mechanical engineering, we can meet the growing needs of industries and society. He requested everyone to adopt new technologies and work towards making human life easier.

The seminar was a golden opportunity for teachers, students and professionals of mechanical engineering in which they got important information about the present and future technology. This program also proved that the future of mechanical engineering is very interesting and innovative.

Singh, Director Research and Development, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Dr. Girendra Gautam, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Prof. Suchitra Tyagi, Engr. Shri Pawan Kumar, Convenor, "Recent Trends and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering" and Head of Department, Mechanical Engineering, Engr. Piyush Chauhan and Engr. Abhishek Kumar played the role of co-convenor in "Recent Trends and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering". Along with them, Engr. Vikas Kumar, Engr. Akash Kakaran and other respected members were present.
