A guest lecture ceremony was organized at Shri Ram College of Pharmacy for the overall development of students. The chief guest of this program was Professor Vivek Dave (Dean), (School of Health Sciences, Central University, Gaya, Bihar).
The program was started by lighting the lamp by the keynote speaker. Along with this, the chief guest was honored by giving books by Dr. Girendra Kumar Gautam, Director of Shri Ram College of Pharmacy.On this occasion, the chief guest Professor Vivek Dave addressed the students and informed them about the latest changes taking place in the pharma sector and also analyzed the latest technologies related to research. Along with this, he shared many interesting facts with the students on research related to human eyes. Also told how new technology, such as Artificial Intelligence, is rapidly changing the discovery and development of medicines.
Along with this, he expressed concern about the increasing level of diabetes in the continent of Asia and said that today more than 425 million population in the continent of Asia alone is infected with diabetes, in which there is a large number of diabetic retinopathic patients. Diabetic retinopathy is a serious eye disease caused by diabetes. In this, the retina of the eyes (which is responsible for vision) is affected. This condition occurs when the blood vessels are affected by high blood sugar levels. Along with this, he also gave information about the intraocular route used in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy and said that the intra-ocular route means administering the medicine directly inside the eye. This method is used to treat various eye diseases, such as glaucoma, retinal diseases, and infections etc.
On this occasion, Dr. Girendra Kumar Gautam, Director of Shriram College of Pharmacy, while addressing the students, said that in this type of program, students get very important information which proves helpful in their future. Therefore, this type of extra-curricular activity continues continuously in Shri Ram College of Pharmacy for the mental development of the students, which also works to increase the level of psychology of the students.
The students participated enthusiastically in the guest lecture program and made it successful. The students described this lecture as extremely beneficial and said that this lecture was very inspiring for us. We got to learn a lot about the latest information and new career opportunities in the field of pharmacy.
At the end of the guest lecture, the students got a chance to ask questions to the speaker. The main focus of the questions was on issues like career opportunities in pharmacy, new startups and manufacturing and research of medicines etc. The speaker gave practical and accurate answers to the students' questions, which helped the students to think and understand deeply about their career.
