The Commerce Department of Shri Ram College organized a one-day "Financial Literacy Awareness Program" for students and teachers in the Management Block. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp jointly by Management Dean Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Head of Commerce Department, Dr. Ashfaq Ali, Head of Management Department, Pankaj Sharma, Head of BBA Department Vivek Tyagi and the chief speaker of the program Alok Kumar (Jtmpdmat Maibanatpjpamendak Magbindham Ivantak Va PDKpanklanu Magchamat Chhmu Kmsip). First of all, Commerce Department Head Dr. Ashfaq Ali and Management Dean Dr. Saurabh Mittal welcomed the chief speaker by presenting him a bouquet.
The director of the program, Sophia Rana, threw light on the objective of organizing the awareness program and invited the keynote speaker on the stage for the lecture. First of all, the keynote speaker of the program, Mr. Alok Kumar, made everyone aware of the objectives of the program. He gave information about investment to all the students. He told the students how we can save a part of our income and how and where it can be invested? He gave detailed information about the National Stock Exchange and SEBI. While giving information about insurance to the students, he said how we can save our family from financial problems by taking health insurance and life insurance. He also gave detailed information to the students about inflation. He informed everyone about the methods of investment in the capital market. He told in detail about mutual funds, demat account, SIP, Sarthi application etc.At the end of the program, a question hour was organized. Students participated in it with great enthusiasm. The keynote speaker also gave satisfactory answers to all the questions of the students. After this, the Head of the Commerce Department, Dr. Ashfaq Ali, Dr. M.S. Khan and Mukesh Kumar presented a memento to the keynote speaker and thanked him for giving his valuable time. For the formal conclusion of the program, the Head of the Commerce Department, Dr. Ashfaq Ali thanked everyone and emphasized on organizing such programs in future.On this occasion, the coordinators of the program were Dr. M.S. Khan and Abhishek Kumar, spokesperson of the Commerce Department. Mukesh Kumar, Miss Shweta Garg, Miss Madhavi Kaushik, Miss Alika, Anuj Verma and Miss Ritu played an important role in making the program successful.
