The closing ceremony of IBM's 'Skillbuild Programme', running from 22 April 2024, was organized at Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar. This program was organized for the students of Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering branches of B.Tech course and Master of Computer Application and Bachelor of Computer Application.

This company provides its services in more than 170 countries and this company was started in 1911 with the name of Computing Tabulating Recording Company, which was changed to International Business Machine in 1924. This company has hoisted its flag in fields like software, hardware and cloud computing.
The SkillsBuild program was designed around three pillars of self-paced learning, project-based learning and access to employment for job-seeking students who want to pursue a career in technology. In this series, the IBM SkillsBuild program has leveraged its expertise, credibility and track record around the world to build partnerships with both central and state governments. It is a free digital platform that gives every adult the opportunity to develop technology and professional skills, regardless of their background, education or life experiences.

On this occasion, Shri Ram College Principal Dr. Prerna Mittal and IBM instructors Usha Mary Sharma and Shashank Shekhar were welcomed by Dr. SN Chauhan, Director of Shri Ram College of Engineering, Muzaffarnagar and Chief Training and Placement In-charge, Ashish Chauhan by presenting them a bouquet. Along with these, Dr. Suchitra Tyagi, Dean of Shri Ram College of Engineering and all the heads of departments were also welcomed.
Instructors Usha Mary Sharma and Shashank Shekhar shared their experiences and said that Shri Ram Group of Colleges is playing a leading role in providing technical knowledge and business communication skills to its students, which helps the students in building their future. Under this training, he informed the students about Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Cloud Computing etc.
On this occasion, Dr. S.C. Kulshrestha, Chairman, Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, was virtually associated with the concluding program and encouraged all the students to realize and achieve their true potential through this training. He said that Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar is the only institute in Saharanpur division where IBM training was given.
On this occasion, Dr. SN Chauhan, Director of Shri Ram College of Engineering, inspired the students to pay serious attention to education. He said that students trained by IBM can get jobs in high level IT companies and can bring glory to themselves and the institute. He wished for the progressive future of all the students and praised the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and said that the special training given through the Department of Computer Science and Engineering will provide opportunities to the students for campus-to-corporate transfer. Under this training, certificates were distributed to the students in 9 areas recognized by IBM.
On this occasion, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal specially thanked IBM trainers Usha Mary Sharma and Shashank Shekhar for this important training and encouraged the students to take full advantage of this training by making it an opportunity.
On this occasion, Dean Academics of Shri Ram College of Engineering, Dr. Suchitra Tyagi, Dean Computer Application of Shri Ram College, Dr. Nishant Rathi expressed gratitude to the trainers. On this occasion, Chief Training and Placement Incharge of the institute, Ashish Chauhan said that this Training and Placement Cell will continue to provide guidance and support to the students to increase their understanding of the industry requirements and develop their skills. He said that the objective of this training is to increase the employability of the students for the technical industry.
