Voter Registration Program

As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the voter registration program, under the special revision program of electoral rolls for assembly constituencies, was launched today in the auditorium of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar (Autonomous). This campaign will run from January 6, 2026, to February 6, 2026.

The program was inaugurated by the chief guest, District Magistrate and District Election Officer Umesh Mishra (IAS), Additional District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Judicial) Krishna Kant Vishwakarma, City Magistrate Pankaj Rathore, Principal of Shri Ram College Dr. Prerna Mittal, Director of Shri Ram College Dr. Ashok Kumar, and Dean IQAC Dr. Vineet Sharma, with the lighting of the lamp.

Following the lamp lighting ceremony, detailed information related to voter registration and electoral roll revision was shared. The officials informed the students present about the process of registering as a new voter through Form 6, the eligibility criteria, and the necessary documents. The objective of the program was to connect young people with the democratic process and make them aware and responsible voters, in which the students participated enthusiastically.

On this occasion, the chief guest, District Magistrate and District Election Officer Shri Umesh Mishra (IAS), said in his address that young voters are the strongest foundation of democracy, and every citizen who has completed 18 years of age should fill out Form 6 and register their name in the voter list so that a fair and strong democracy can be built.

On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh said that the voter registration program is a powerful means of connecting citizens with their constitutional rights, and every eligible person should actively participate in it.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Judicial) Krishna Kant Vishwakarma, in his address, urged the youth to understand the importance of voting and play an active role in the democratic process.

City Magistrate Pankaj Rathore highlighted the transparency and fairness of the election process and said that only aware voters strengthen democracy.

The program was successfully conducted by Dr. Reetu Pundir, Lecturer, Department of Basic Science. Heads of all departments, teachers, and faculty members of the college were present on this occasion.
