<p>Our program prepares students for creating and questioning in a way that transforms how we think about and engage with the world. The continual exercise of imagination and discipline is the basis for a career in art. Shri Ram College of Fine Arts students become equipped with the rigorous foundational skills they need to be highly adaptable visual problem solvers who learn to pay particular attention to aesthetics and conceptual dexterity.</p>
                 <p>We foster a healthy fearlessness-experimentation, risk and complexity are embedded into the very fabric of student work. Such versatility and adaptability are paramount in preparing artists to excel in a continually changing global environment. Our recognized faculty works to create a program that is both broad in its scope of interests and small in class size to allow for a more one-on-one education. Our Fine Art program supports a spectrum of disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, photography and digital imaging, as well as an array of art-and-design hybrids.</p>

                 <p>At Shri Ram College of Fine Arts, Applied students learn to infuse words and images with life and meaning—whether by creating motion graphics, attending workshops in our institution. Applied Arts has transcended its role as a commercial art practice to become an essential and universal tool for communicating the multi-dimensional experience of a place, product, service or personality in every imaginable context. Our students are challenged to develop design solutions to all of the above by experimenting with a wide range of media—including books and digital magazines, packaging, 3D motion graphics, apps—to create compelling graphic identities and branded experiences.</p>
                 <p>You've always seen things a little differently. For you, Applied arts is a personal, tangible form of expression, and you’re not particularly interested in compromising your art for anyone. You'd rather fight for your ideas. And if you’re ready to turn your passion into a career where you can do what you love—whether as a fine artist, designer, educator, exhibit curator, or another pursuit—you need to start with our Applied Arts degree program. </p>

                 <p>Shri Ram College of Fine Arts is a premier public institution. It is a nationally recognized college for fashion art. We’re known for our rigorous, unique, and adaptable academic programming, experiential learning opportunities, academic and industry partnerships, and commitment to research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.</p>
                 <p>Our faculty know what’s needed to succeed in the Fashion Design industry. They’ll share this expertise in the classroom, offering one-on-one mentorship and guidance as they push you to be bold, to experiment, and to take risks with your designs. Our programs start by helping you build foundational skills in garment construction, fashion illustration, textiles, and pattern making. Then, using industrial sewing machines, computer-aided design software, and other professional-grade equipment and technology, you can learn how to apply these skills to create pieces as unique as you are.</p>

						Textile Designing</strong></a> </div>

                 <p>Just take a look around, and you will see someone wearing or using textiles created by a designer – clothing, bed linens, kitchen towels, carpets, and blankets, or non-fabric materials like wallpaper and wrapping paper.</p>
                 <p>Textiles are anything that is made up of yarns, fabrics, or fibers. To be useful, they must have flexibility, abrasion resistance, strength, and moisture control properties. Sometimes textiles are used in materials meant to be protective, such as bulletproof vests, helmets worn by soldiers, and cut resistant gloves used by butchers. The carpeting on the floor of a school, the gowns worn by nurses and doctors, and the sound absorption wall coverings in a theater are all examples of textiles. Textile design is a highly creative field that involves the process of creating the designs that are printed on these woven, knitted, or other types of fabrics.</p>
