A waste water treatment plant was set up in the premises of Shriram Group of Colleges three years ago with the joint efforts of Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, Japan International Corporation Agency Company and Muzaffarnagar Municipality. Akira Morita, the representative of the Japanese Government, Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Founder Chairman of Shriram Group of Colleges and Mayank Notiyal Senior Management Tara, (Technology and Action For Rural Advancement) after inspecting the waste water treatment plant, met the newly elected municipal chairperson of Muzaffarnagar, Meenakshi Swaroop, in connection with the project. Handed over the invitation letter sent by the Japanese government for the event and informed that the Japanese government wants to work positively with Muzaffarnagar municipality in the direction of waste water treatment in the municipal area.

Giving information in this regard, Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Founder Chairman of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, said that three years ago, Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) had set up a waste water treatment plant in the premises of Shri Ram Group of Colleges to re-purify and irrigate the institute's waste water. The plant was established. For which a loan of three and a half crore rupees was given by the Government of Japan. He told that this project was started on the basis of a contract between Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar Municipality and the Government of Japan, which has now been completed and now the Japanese Government wants to hand it over to Muzaffarnagar Municipality. He told that today the representative of the Japanese government, Akira Morita, invited the President of Muzaffarnagar Municipality for the seminar to be organized in the college in the coming month of July. He told that a letter was handed over to Muzaffarnagar Municipality Chairperson by the representative of the Japanese government, in which it has been told that a presentation will be made in the seminar on the benefits of the wastewater treatment plant technology operated in Shriram Group Colleges in the coming July. Along with this, the waste water treatment plant running in the institute will be handed over to the President of Muzaffarnagar Municipality through the Heading Over Ceremony.
