The one who is seeing the environment getting polluted but is not the last generation who could not solve the problem of the environment. Explaining the statement of Mahatma Gandhi, he said that nature has all the resources to meet the needs of man, but it cannot satisfy the greed of man. In today's era, nature is warning us in the form of frequent earthquakes, floods and natural calamities. He said that the problem of ever-increasing global warming is an indicator of terrible disasters to come, and also said that human existence is nothing without the earth. Speaking further, he said that we should take effective positive steps for environmental protection, as Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar has taken that step through education. He said that the future of thousands of years of environment can be accumulated only through education. He told that the ancestors established harmony between man and nature through culture. The way our ancestors used to follow the rules related to environment, in the same way we should follow the rules made by them. We should give importance to the river, mountains and natural resources like them. Addressing nature, he gave an example that if we are cutting the same branch on which we are sitting, is it not a foolish act? Shouldn't we try to protect the environment?

On this occasion, the special guest of the program, Honorable Dr. Afroz Ahmed, expert member, Principal Bench, National Green Tribunal, New Delhi, told about the environment that Narmada project was opposed by some people and many people supported it. But due to his hard work the Narmada project was made successful and the credit for this project was given by the Honorable Prime Minister in 2018. He said that in the form of nature, God created rivers, streams, trees and plants, and humans and animals, that when God has sent humans to this earth, work should be done to maintain harmony for the protection of nature. So we all know how to protect it and this is our biggest mistake that we do not follow our duties. In ancient times, man used to live in harmony with nature, but for some time man has been playing with this harmony, due to which the form of nature is getting destroyed. Today the existence of human being is the gift of nature because nature has not created anything that is different from the environment, we have discussed the environment a lot but did not pay attention to it. Earlier there was no education of environmental studies but now it is being given a lot of emphasis. He said that merely punishing and imposing fine is not a provision for environmental protection, but it is very necessary to plant trees in maximum quantity, save rivers and work for environmental protection. Citing examples of some countries on the importance of water, he emphasized on restoring river basins for water security.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Founder Chairman of Shriram Group of Colleges, said that nature is the reason for the destruction of nature. He said that it is difficult to protect the environment until there is a provision of punishment by making a law. Explaining Namami Ganga and Swasth Bharat, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken commendable steps for environmental protection, but without public cooperation, it is not possible to give a positive shape to the programs related to environmental protection by the government. Giving information about the contribution of Shriram Group of Colleges in the field of environmental protection, he said that Shriram Group of Colleges is one of such institutions in Uttar Pradesh where all the policies and rules related to environment are being followed very seriously. He said that with the help of Japan, a 180 kW solar power plant has been installed in the institute.
