Joint courtesy of Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar and Japanese company 'Taisei Soil System', the water purification plant running in the college campus was tested by a two-member delegation from Japan, who tested the plant as well as 'Roll of T.S.S. Also organized a workshop on the topic “Japanese Technology) in Waste Water Management”.

The chairman of the organization, Dr. S.C. Kulshrestha said that in the project run in Shri Ram Group of Colleges, the waste water generated from the hostels of the college campus is being continuously treated. Giving information about the project, he said that this project is being operated smoothly at low cost without any electricity fuel and special expenditure. The treatment capacity of the plant is 8000 liters per day and it is planned to be increased in future.

Some necessary tests like pH, COD and BOD were done by the company representatives. It was told in the workshop that waste water can be managed by using Tafguard technology being used by the company. Arjun Singh, Project Coordinator and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, while giving information said that the smooth operation of this plant is an achievement for the college and the district. He said that this plant is of great importance for reusing the waste water. He also said that the water purified from the waste water is reused for irrigation. The delegation included Akira Morita, Senior Advisor of Taisei and Kinichi Tamura, Director of E-Square and Saurabh Mishra of Tara Consultancy.

Dr. Alok Gupta, Director of Shri Ram College of Engineering, Nishu Bhardwaj, Civil Engg., Pankaj Agarwal, Managing Director, Bindal Duplex Ltd., Muzaffarnagar, Neeraj Kedia, Managing Director, Chakradhar Chemicals Pvt. Convenor, Small Industries Cell, BJP, UP, Vipul Bhatnagar, Chairman, IIA, Muzaffarnagar Chapter, Hotilal Sharma, social workers etc. were present.
