Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, "National Mathematics Day" was jointly celebrated by the Department of Computer Applications, Bioscience and Basic Science of Shri Ram College Muzaffarnagar. The program was inaugurated by Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman, Shriram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director of Shriram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal of Shriram College, IQAC Coordinator of Shriram College, Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, Admission Coordinator of Shriram Group of Colleges, Neetu Singh, Basic Science Department Head Dr. Pooja Tomar and Bioscience Department Head Dr. Vipin Saini jointly lit the lamp.

On this occasion a quiz competition was organized for the students. In which college students participated with great enthusiasm. Dr. Pooja Tomar, Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma and Dr. Vipin Saini were included in the jury. Five teams were formed in this quiz competition, namely Team A, Team B, Team C, Team D and Team E were placed. Three students were selected in each team. Teams were selected for first, second and third place in this quiz competition. Team-E stood first among the participants, in which Shivang Sindal and Suhani Rai were from computer application and Ajay Kumar was Team-A, in which Shashank Shukla, Sanju Sharma, Priya Chaudhary were from computer application, while Team-C stood third. In which Karishma Sindal, Nisha and Faiza Siddiqui from the Department of Bioscience etc. were honored from the Department of Computer Applications.

Shriram College Director Dr. Ashok Kumar encouraged the students and told about mathematics and its importance in our lives. He said that mathematics is the basis of science as well as all subjects and is the father of all science and any branch of science is incomplete without mathematics. In the end, he told about the difference between discovery, innovation and invention and shared the contribution of various mathematicians with the students and wished the students a happy and bright future. On this occasion, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal, in the end, the students- Encouraging the girl students, thanked all the guests and colleagues. On this occasion, the IQAC coordinator of the college, Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, while telling interesting facts about the subject of mathematics to the students, said that apart from studying mathematics, it is also very important in daily life. Comes in handy.
