This year the Leaders Connect series is being organized in the Management Department of Shriram Group of Colleges. It is a series of world class workshops and guest lectures. In this sequence, the second guest lecture and workshop series was organized today. Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman, Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Dr. Alok Gupta, Director, Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director, Shri Ram College, Dr. Girendra Gautam, Director, Shri Ram College of Pharmacy, Dean IQAC were present on the occasion. Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, Dean Management Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Head of Computer Applications Department of Shri Ram College of Engineering Dr. Pawan Goyal and Head of Department of Faculty of Management Dr. Ashfaq Ali were present.
On this occasion, the chief guest and keynote speaker of the program was world-renowned TEDx speaker, executive coach, and retired Major Deepak Iyer, former Para Commando (Special Forces). Major Deepak Iyer has also been the junior of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in the Mumbai attack. Major Deepak expressed his views on the topic "Success Secrets from a Commando" under the workshop. Under this workshop, the management and technical students were discussed in minute detail about the principles and techniques of management based on army commando life and their compliance. Those aspects of personality development were explained in detail by Major Iyer, using which even an ordinary person can give his best like a commando in his work and his organization. Appreciating the efforts of the college and the management department, Major Iyer said that such an event for the youth in an area like Muzaffarnagar and the efforts of Shri Ram College are really praiseworthy. He thanked Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman, Shriram Group of Colleges, for organizing a series like Leaders Connect Series and inviting him to such an event. Expressing his views in the workshop, Dr. SC Kulshrestha said that the main objective of Shri Ram Group of Colleges is to provide world class education to the students in an area like Muzaffarnagar. In this sequence, he and all the college staff are continuously working. The Leaders Connect series is a one of a kind initiative whose benefits will prove to be far reaching for the students. On this occasion, he also highly appreciated the efforts of the Management Department. Around 400 students of B Tech and MBA participated in the programme. At the end of the program, Major Deepak Iyer and his wife were honored with a memento.
On this occasion, Dr. Ashfaq Ali, Head of the Department of Management, highlighted the importance of the workshop and discussed its effects and usefulness. Atul Raghuvashi was the coordinator of the program and Rajeev Rawal, Mohammad Danish, Shruti Mittal etc. from the management department helped in making the program successful.
